How the target GPA is calculated

Your target GPA is a credit-weighted average of the GPA you already have and the GPA you earn in remaining credits. The calculator solves for the remaining GPA instead of guessing term by term.

Why the scale matters

An A+ is 4.3 at some schools and 4.0 at others. If the scale in the calculator is higher than your transcript allows, the required GPA may look achievable when it is not — pick the scale printed on your transcript.

Who it is for

University students planning a term, checking scholarship eligibility, or deciding whether a target is still reachable.

Frequently asked questions

Does it handle transfer credits?

Yes, include them in earned credits if your school counts them toward GPA. Leave out credits your school excludes.

What if the required GPA is above the scale?

The target cannot be reached with the credits entered. Add more remaining credits or lower the target; the calculator does not round a result into feasibility.

Does it weight courses equally?

The calculation is credit-weighted across the two blocks. Within a term, enter the term GPA your school reports, which already weights the courses.
